Mira was born in the Ukraine. She grew up singing and playing piano - then trained in St Petersburg, Russia at the Conservatorium. She migrated to Australia with her husband and daughter after the unrest in the Ukraine in the 1980’s.

Emma had the great fortune of studying with Mira from 1998 to 2015. Mira passed away on the Winter Solstice and touched many peoples lives with her incredible knowledge and teaching.
