Impossible but truly funny – let her wend you with stories, ply you with song & leave an imprint like a strange dream you had as we earthlings dance with the Earth as it reaches its zenith and we start our new journey around the sun again!

 Creation of Melbourne based singer performer Emma Bathgate - the Dilapidated Diva was born on the streets of Fitzroy in the very late 90’s – she has crawled all the great venues of the inner north, sung on trams, in gutters and has performed on stages locally, nationally and one international gig in Istanbul, Turkey - that ended in her being dunked in the Bosporus repeatedly….& left to rot…WELL NOW SHE’S BACK!

Great friendships: Pianist guiding light Justin Holland is the other half in this friends ship - providing the beautiful cadences, rhythms and melodic rolling landscapes for the Diva to cavort on. No place too dark, to sticky or too deep for him to dive into…..

In The Beginning: The Dilapidated Diva was born from Emma Bathgate’s maelstrom mind heart- sprung from now where and everywhere. SHE is the worlds smallest biggest FRONT PERSON. SHE was conceived in a plastic shopping bag of pop culture & history’s iconic femme fatals, birthed from the irony of deadly colonisation, & brung forth lamenting from her almighty MAW….sent to have you laughing until you cry!
